Job purpose

This position will provide analysis/engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to lead the BMD C2BMC incremental build development. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the incremental build from concept/requirements development to fielding the system.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Review incremental build capability needs
  • Develop plan for implementing new capabilities
  • Work with development contractor to establish requirements
  • Oversee development of new capabilities
  • Evaluate test cases to ensure performance adequately assessed
  • Interpret test results to identify problems and impact of multi-sensor integration to overall planning capability
  • Provide developer and project office feedback
  • Prepare and present capabilities and limitations through the approval process to gain approval for fielding the incremental build

Qualifications

 

Education: BS Degree (MS preferred) in Engineering or Science related major

                                   

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of C2BMC and BMDS
  • The candidate must be able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, Sub-Contractor and Supporting Contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain active Secret Clearance

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of the MDA Engineering practices and processes.
  • Familiarity with the BMDS system level documentation such as the BMD System Description Document and BMD System Specification
